yellowdog
I saw today that my last leg (5/23-5/28) for Florida is including memorial day weekend. I did some google about the holiday but I get conflickting information if it's a bigger "travel" holiday or not? Or is it more a family/at home holiday? I have looked at several hotels rackrates for my area (Ft. Lauderdale) but can't see any peak yet for the dates.Could someone advice me, I have never been to The USA during this holiday.Thanx in advance!YellowDog. Link to comment
thereuare
I think it depends upon the area...NYC is usually a little slower than usual... Beach areas tend to see a slight increase as it's the "official" start of the summer season, but for the most part i think it's more of a "family and friends backyard BBQ" type of holiday. Also, it's only a long weekend so usually people stay somewhat local and it's more of a driving holidya vs. flying someplace further away.
