ptprism Posted March 17, 2009 Report Posted March 17, 2009 :) Here's and update on this Ramada Inn:I was a little wary of this one, but based upon recent reviews decided to take a chance since the price was right. At the last minute my wife decided to accompany me on this business trip. I was really nervous since she is hypercritical of hotels, cleanliness, etc.And--guess what Mikey--she liked it! This place has been about 80% refurbished and they are doing a nice job. There is still some exterior painting to be done--especially the room doors--but that can't be done during the winter. The room we had was completely redone-new large ceramic tile floor in the bath, complete new shower enclosure, granite counter. All very nice and well done. The furniture was fine, including a work desk. The bed was very comfortable with new linens that were crisp and clean each day. The continental breakfast included waffles, cereals bagels, muffins, etc. The free internet/wireless worked fine. The location was great for us--near the airport (free shuttle) and I-480, with a mall and lots and lots of shopping and restaurants nearby. The only drawback was that there is no elevator. So if you are on the second floor, you have to climb the stairs. Also, the room doors open to the outside, but the corridor is enclosed partially. But all things considered, this was well worth the money! I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again for the Hotwire price.
