blindfaith Posted March 16, 2009 Report Posted March 16, 2009 It's been awhile since I've been here, so long ago that I couldn't remember my logon name, not to mention it's at least two email addresses ago so I didn't even bother retrieving it. So at any rate, looking for a leisure trip to NYC, have a three hour gig to get to on Friday Apr 3 and was hoping to get in TS district since that's where the thing was, here's my data.4* TS hotel prices: Hilton 289, Renaissance 279, Crowne Plaza 270, W 278....Bid (with free rebids) as follows: 99, 102, 105, 107, 110, 115 (all rejected). Was okay with 4* CPS, prices as follows: Six Columbus Circle 169, Le Parker Meridien 361, Essex House 339. Bid (with free rebids) as follows: 97, 100, 103, 106, 109, 112, 117 (last bid included TS, all rejected).Deciding that we didn't want to hit the $120 mark for a leisure trip, added MTW. 4* prices: Sheraton 219, Hilton 209, Sofitel 249, London 339, Shoreham 249.Bid (with free rebids) as follows: 98, 103, 106, 108, 110 Success at $110 at Sheraton Hotel & Towers MTW. Used the PRICELINE link, thank you so much for all the data I gathered in preparing my strategy.
thereuare Posted March 17, 2009 Report Posted March 17, 2009 Congratulations on your success!Glad to see you found a hotel within your bugdet for this stay and are happy with the results. Not sure exactly where your (i assume music) gig is, but if in Times Square, this should work out just fine for your needs and prove to be convenient.Thank you for sharing your win with the board and using our PRICLINE link to begin your bidding.Enjoy your stay.PS- assuming you get out late from the gig (and maybe have a drink or two in you) give this famous a try at 53rd and Sixth, just a short walk from your hotel (be careful with the hot sauce!! and note they serve from 7:30pm-4am) Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases

I wrote my review, and I couldn't remember which cart you said I should try, because I got fixated on the cart at 7th and 52nd, for three days straight I walked by it drooling, and on the fourth day when I put my foot down to try it, the guy was out! (Granted, it had to have been 3 am...) But we ate well, don't get me wrong, what a convenient location! Loved it all!
