daticket Posted March 16, 2009 Report Posted March 16, 2009 Been bidding everyday for the past 2 weeks on either a 3.5* or 3* in the Valencia area with no luck. Finally got accepted today (using the PRICELINE link) for a 3* for $60: Residence Inn by Marriott. For the 3.5* hotel, my bidding ranged from $60 - $71. For the 3*, bidding ranged from $50 - $60. Received a couple of counteroffers for the 3.5* bids to add $15 - $17 (depending on the counteroffer), but I always declined, thinking I could still get it for less. Had I accepted, the final "bid" would have been around $78-$80. Surprised my $71 bid was not accepted given the counteroffers, but oh well. The Residence Inn looks nice from the website. Thanks, Better Bidding.

daticket Posted April 15, 2009 Author Report Posted April 15, 2009 Was this the Santa Clarita/Valencia location?Sorry for the delayed response. Yes, it is the Santa Clarita/Valenica location. Thereuare is right with the address. This hotel was very nice. The free breakfast had a great variety of food, including fresh belgian waffles (you make them yourself), cereal, scrambled eggs, potatoes, bacon, sausage, hard boiled eggs, toast, bagels, english muffins, a small selection of muffins, yogurt, juices, etc. Definitely a nice bonus for the price.
