4salem Posted March 15, 2009 Report Posted March 15, 2009 Using the BetterBidding HOTWIRE Link, I booked the following hotel just across the river from Downtown Charleston: La Quinta Inn Charleston-Riverview (Ashley River Area) 2.5*11 Ashley Point Dr, Charleston, SC, 29407843) 556-5200Check-in: Thu, May 7, 2009Check-out: Sat, May 9, 2009Hotwire hot Rate: $84.00 Nights: 2Rooms: 1Total:$168.00Tax recovery charges and fees: $24.51Total price: $192.51Amenities : Complimentary Breakfast, Pool(s), Laundry Facilities, High-speed Internet Access*** PLEASE NOTE: A few topics below on Feb 26 2009 (under "Major Hotwire Booking Issue"), somebody posted that they selected this Ashley River Area 2.5 hotel but instead was given La Quinta North Charleston 10 miles away. This did not happen to me, but I called Hotwire beforehand and they assured me that if the hotel booked was not in the designated yellow region on the Area Map, they would refund the booking.
