Priceline Hotel: Resort Orlando (WDW) Gaylord Palms

First time Priceline user started bidding from $60 to $80 with $5 increments. $80 hit and I received a two night stay at the Gaylord Palms Resort & Spa in Orlando.

I was surprised to see Gaylord Palms as in the list shown in this forum for WDW area and 4* hotels, only two possible hotels are shown - Mona Lisa & Celebration Hotel. No big deal.

Anyone know why PRICELINE gave me a booking at a resort even though at the bidding start page I only selected hotels?

Thanks.

Welcome to BetterBidding!

The star rating you select is the minimum you're willing to accept and PRICELINE will always look to upgrade your bids to a higher star level, so in this case, your $80 bid was sufficient for a Resort class property so you were upgraded to the Gaylord Palms.
