Disciple Posted March 14, 2009 Report Posted March 14, 2009 I have a question.A Resort is better then a 4* hotel?I'm planning to get a great room at Fort Lauderdale, the preference in on the beach.I want to bid in Priceline... I'm bidding 4*... But it looks that a Resort is a good deal too.I want to spend just one night around mid-May.I see a lot of people getting great resorts in Ft Lauderdale...Can somebody help me with this?
thereuare Posted March 14, 2009 Report Posted March 14, 2009 Welcome to BetterBidding! If you bid 4* you are not guaranteed that the property will be located on the beach, it would be 'expected' with a Resort (not in all areas, but since this is the "Beach" zone, i think it's a reasonable expectation)HOTWIRE can be an option as well since they will show you beforehand of the property is located Beachfront or not (based upon the amenity icons shown). As well, since you're looking for a 'great' property, HOTWIRE gives you the ability to take an educated guess as to what you may receive before your purchase. When will you decide the date of your stay? What is your maximum budget for this nite? Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. Disciple Posted March 14, 2009 Author Report Posted March 14, 2009 It's my honeymoon night. It's May 16.We are getting our plane the next day at the Ft Lauderdale Airport, so I wanted us to be in the area for the flight, and also have a great first night.I saw people here getting the THE MARRIOT HARBOR BEACH RESORT for $135 on PRICELINE.But I don't know if I put Resort, I may get a horrible resort there...Don't need to be at the beach, just a good and luxury's hotel or resort that we can have a great night. It can be around that price, $135
thereuare Posted March 15, 2009 Report Posted March 15, 2009 Since you're concerned with the hotel you may receive thru PRICELINE within the Resort category, have you tried searching HOTWIRE for your dates to see if anything is offered within your budget? Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. Disciple Posted March 15, 2009 Author Report Posted March 15, 2009 I got the Marriott Harbor Beach Resort for $100 plus taxes... that was $119.85 total.
