I m looking for a hotel in NY, Ive never been there yet and heard and also see using Internet that hotel prices are so high. A friend of mine suggest me to use Priceline but i dont know how to use it exactly, I mean when I give the informations needed (location, price to bid, ..) I understand that my account willl be charged but before that is priceline asking me to reconfirm my choice or not? is the price we bid the total will pay or is there any other fees after? did priceline tell us about thoses feels before charging our credit card or not?

Im looking for hotel in NY from 22 to 25 april 09, for one person, is priceline the good deal to have nice hotels with a reasonable price?
