HobDog Posted March 11, 2009 Report Posted March 11, 2009 I am looking to book a room in Las Vegas at a 5* during the weekend of 4/10 - 4/12. When I select children I am not presented with an option for any 5 star hotels. If I remove the children, I am able to select from one or more 5 star hotels. If I book a 5 star hotel without listing the children through hotwire will they cancel the reservation? Has anyone else run into a problem doing this? Thanks!
thereuare Posted March 12, 2009 Report Posted March 12, 2009 Welcome to BetterBidding! As the 5* Vegas properties are not "adults only" the real risk (imo) is not that the reservation gets cancelled, it's more so in regards to enough bedding for everyone and potential additional charges.HOTWIRE guarantees "sleeping accoodations" for everyone you include in your search, so if you only search for double ocupancy, and in reality your triple/quad occupancy, you coudl receive a room with only one bed, at which point you'll need to figure out where the kids will sleep. (are they too old to sleep on the floor on a make-shift bed with extra sheets and a blanket??) As well, if you are able to get the hotel to give you a room with two beds (or a rollaway) there may be an additional charge, which you would be at the mercy of whatever the hotel wanted to charge. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.Let us know your thoughts on the above and how we can be of further help.PS- note that it's not "children" that is the issue, it's the double vs. triple+ occupancy... for even if you change your search to 3 or 4 adults (and no children) the 5* hotels don't appear Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
