Hotwire Hotel: 5* Las Vegsa (Central Strip) Wynn

I'm looking waaaaay in advance, too far to use HOTWIRE, right now, but have found the following:

For July 12-18

They're listing 4*

Suite, Casino, Fitness Center, Pool, Restaurant, Business Center,High Speed Internet, Golf.

$60.

This almost has to be the Rio.

For Total Rewards Members -- the same room averages $45/night. Given the Lowest Price Guaranty of double the difference -- Booking on HOTWIRE would run $30/night!!

Given the very aggressive pricing that the Harrah's hotels are using now this may come into play into the future.

It's possible that this would not be considered a rate available to the "general public" and excluded for price matching purposes, just as AAA, government, etc, rates.

I'm searching for mid July on Hotwire -- both packages and 'blind hotels'.

I noticed that in the hotel packages, Ceasars comes up as a 4* hotel. I had always thought that Hotwire listed it as 4 1/2*. So, am I just to notice this or has Ceasars been downgraded.

The only possibilities I can think of are Wynn (Encore) and Venetian (Palazzo)

As per the Hotwire Hotel List the Palazzo has previously been reported wtith these amenities so that would be our best guess... it's not the amenities it's usually seen with, but has been reported with these previously.

Results -- I took the Rio Room @ 45/night (booked direct with hotel). If I change my mind (it's cancellable), I'll update. Wanted to give final results of the search.

Ok -- I did change my mind, we decided we REALLY wanted to spend part of the vacation at Signature, and serendipitously, a couple of deals came through so I grabbed them.

First -- Hotwire

5* Central Strip -- July 12-14 (2 nights) $108/night -- WYNN

Price = $108/Night

Hotel = Wynn.

For the Rest of the Trip -- July 14-18

Signature is running a Buy 3 nights get 1 night free program

Room Rates: July 14 - $129

July 15- $129

July 16 - Free

July 17 - $169

which brings the Average room rate down to about $107 for Signature and for the 6 nights.

I'm extremely happy with both hotels, happy with the win (on the Wynn), Happy with the blended price for Signature, and last but not least, for the HOTWIRE Portion of the trip, linked through to Hotwire from this site.
