Priceline Hotel: 4* Chicago (Millenium-Loop-Grant Park) Swissotel

After dealing with it for a while, just gave up and accepted their offer of "adding $17" to my original bid and getting a hotel. Still looks like a good deal when they want 300/night on their site. Any thoughts on this hotel... or what I should do with my few days in Chicago?

Congratulations on your success! It may help to advise on things to do in Chicago if you mention your deomgraphic and what type of things you like to do. AaronJB is our local Chicago expert and i'm sure he'll offer some advice, but off the top of my head...

Head to the Hancock Observatory (or lunch/drinks in the Signature Room)

Art Museum

Aquarium

Pizza

hot Dogs

Listen to some Live Music (blues)

It depends on your interests.

You could do something like this:

If you get in later in the day on 4/4, you could browse around Michigan Ave, which is only a short walk from the Swiss. You could also head to the Signature Room at the top of the Hancock for a drink and to take in the view.

Lincoln Park Zoo, nearby Old Town and the Chicago Historical Society. If it's a good day weather-wise, you could take the "L" up to Broadway, have breakfast at Ann Sather (http://www.annsather.com/) and walk from there to the Zoo (a long-ish walk, but a nice one through the Lincoln Park area.)

Art Institute. Or maybe Field Museum, then the Art Institute on the way back.

You could also do a Wendella Boat Tour (http://www.wendellaboats.com/), since they start first week of April. However, if it's still brisk out (which it very well might be), then I'd either dress warmly or don't go, as if it's brisk out, it'll be moreso on the water.
