thereuare
Welcome to BetterBidding! It appears that the Allegro has recently been upgraded from a 3.5* to a 4* and i think that is the best guess as to this hotel's identification. One of the customer comments discusses a staircase, does anyone know if this hotel has a 'grand staircase' that would cause a guest to mention it in a review?Let us know if we can be of any further help as well as what you decide to do for this stay. wcj1
I have stayed at the Allego and it does have a staircase, although I do not know if I would consider it grand. It is large though. The staircase comment does not show up right now, so I am not sure how it describes it.I have looked at a room at the Burnham and do not remember a staircase in the relatively small lobby. The Allego lobby is 1 story above street level, hence the staircase. If you really want the Burnham and have AAA, you might want to book directly. They have a $129 AAA rate so that will work out to about the same as a $122 Hotwire rate. Currently this is what I am doing for a November stay where Priceline has not been cooperating. Plus we really wanted to stay at the Burnham after we looked at that room. The Burnham has the most amazing/huge windows.BillJ Link to comment
rainspooner
Thanks for the help! I went ahead and booked the REFUNDABLE AAA rate at the Hotel Burnham for $129/night.I'd still like to snag a 4* downtown for less than $100/night though. I will keep checking Hotwire and bid occasionally on Priceline. Link to comment
