Mike M Posted March 9, 2009 Report Posted March 9, 2009 I just wanted to start a thread to track my bidding. I am looking for a 5* in Dublin for my travel dates. I have time, and want to get the 5*, so I am going to try over a few days.$95 - City Center South - Rejected$140 Offer (based on above)$105 - City Center South & North - Rejected$110 - City Center South & North, Airport - RejectedI'll try again tomorrow and see how I do. I don't really want to go above $110, but it seems like I may be able to get that price based on the couter offer amount ($140).

Mike M Posted March 10, 2009 Author Report Posted March 10, 2009 Would you or anyone recommend bidding on the days seperately, since I am looking at a Saturday and a Sunday night here?
thereuare Posted March 11, 2009 Report Posted March 11, 2009 There is a rate change over these two nites, although not a large one, at one of the hotels i checked... how willing are you to changing hotels during your stay? Mike M Posted March 11, 2009 Author Report Posted March 11, 2009 I checked the Shelborne rates, which is the most likely 5* from what I have seen here, and they actually are higher for Sunday for some odd reason. Anyway, I tried bidding up to $116 yesterday, but to no avail. I got offered the $140 rate at least one in those bids. I think I am going to go with a regular booking instead of sweating it out with price, line. Thanks for the help though!
