kmarra Posted March 8, 2009 Report Posted March 8, 2009 looking for advice on how to target the intercontinental for 1 night 3/28/09. 2 rooms - 3 adults and 2 children?
thereuare Posted March 9, 2009 Report Posted March 9, 2009 Welcome to BetterBidding!First do a HOTWIRE hotel search and see what is offered for your date when searching for 2rooms/2adults/3children. Then compare the amenities associated with the hotel(s) offered to those that have previously been reported in the Hotwire Hotel List.If you find a match, or any other hotels you're interested in, post the details to the board and we'll try to confirm and/or ID the hotel for you. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help. kmarra Posted March 9, 2009 Author Report Posted March 9, 2009 Thanks for the reply. I looked at the list for San Juan and I don't think a match is coming up. What is coming up is 4* San Juan area, beachfront, fitness center, pool, Restaurant, business center, tennis nearby and spa services.Do you think this would be Caribe Hilton? Want to make sure I am doing this right. I may just have to take this one. How often do new hotels show up? would it be to my advantage to wait until the date gets closer?
thereuare Posted March 10, 2009 Report Posted March 10, 2009 Yes, the above is a match for the Caribe Hilton so that would be our best guess.HOTWIRE only shows one hotel at each star rating per zone (the one with the lowest price is offered), so for another hotel to appear you would need this current offering to either sell-out, pull, or raise the price of their current inventory OR for another hotel at this star level to offer a lower rate.Assuming correct best rate on the Hilton website is $244/nite so this would seem like a very good deal... not sure what you'd be looking to gain by waiting :) (lower price, different hotel, etc??)Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.Let us know what you decide and how it goes or if we can be of further help. kmarra Posted March 12, 2009 Author Report Posted March 12, 2009 I waited too long and now the great deal on the caribe hilton is gone. However the new one listed may be the intercontinental which is what I wanted although the price is quite a bit more than the caribe. I need help identifying the new one because it has more amenities listed than the pinned list. it is [4*, san juan area, resort, beachfront, casino, fitness, pool, resturant, business, laundry, high speed internet, golf nearby, tennis nearby and spa services.
thereuare Posted March 13, 2009 Report Posted March 13, 2009 I don't believe the above is the Inter-Continental... the El San Juan Hotel and Casino would be a better guess, imo. Also, are you searching for two rooms, 3adults/2children... as i can only get the hotel above to appear when searching for one room. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.
