Priceline Hotel: 3* Vancouver Downtown - rejected

I have to head into downtown Vancouver tomorrow and thought I would see if I could lowball something last minute. It is not imperative I spend the night, just thought I could have a possible cheapie night away.

I know the Coast Inn is going for about $45 on hotwire, and thought I might get it super cheap on priceline.

Tried 3*

Used the PRICELINE link from here and tried $25 (I put in a few amounts until the red warning bar went away - it did at 24, so I bid 25), and no go.

Added free re-bid zone Langley and bid $29, not accepted

Added free re-bid zone North Van and bid $33, not accepted.

Oh well! Was worth a shot. I am sure if I went $45+ I can get something, but was just seeing if I could do something for about $50 canadian. No biggie.
