thereuare Posted March 7, 2009 Report Posted March 7, 2009 Welcome to BetterBidding!I've read terrible reviews for this hotel. No wonder it's so cheap. The main issue guests have with this hotel is the room size as they are very small, even by NYC standards, but otherwise gets pretty good reviews.Bid 75$ for 3 1/2 * for Times Square and area up to Central Park East. RejectedBid again $80 for 3 * (same area) Won bid. They say this is a 3 1/2 * hotel. Not sure why I was rejected the first time.It appears you only want up to $75 for your first round of 3.5* bidding and it took $80 to win this property, which if i'm intperpretting your post correctly, is why you were rejected previously.Doesn't Priceline have quality control????I only checked two booking services, Expedia and Travelocity, and both rate this property 3.5*, just like PRICELINE... so this star rating isn't really out of line.Thank you for sharing your win with the board. While this may not be your first choice of hotel, hopefully you'll feel that, for NYC, you received $80 worth of value. Take some of the savings and spend sometime outside of your room doing something you enjoy. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases..Hope your stay goes better than expected. JLD Posted March 7, 2009 Author Report Posted March 7, 2009 Thank you for your reply. I got sort of freaked out by all the bad reviews but when you boil it down, the small room was the big complaint. I can live with that. It does have an amazing location and the price was amazing as well. My first time using PRICELINE. I'll get better at this. :)
