ohtravelbug Posted March 6, 2009 Report Posted March 6, 2009 This was our first time using Priceline, and hopefully we did it correctly via this website because we found the information here extremely helpful! We started out bidding on 3.5* in the following areas:Convention Ctr/Capitol HillCrystal CityDupont Circle-Woodley ParkWhitehouse-DowntownWe started at an amount of $45 which was rejected fairly quickly. We next bid at $57 which was still rejected, but not as quickly. Our third bid was at $68 which we won. We were very excited about this price; via the Marriott website a room goes for $329/night. However, we did forget to add in the fact that parking is very expensive. At this hotel, it is $31/day. We don't plan to use our car while in DC, but will be driving there and need a place to safely park the car. Not sure if we should just pay it or look for an alternative. We're hoping to have a pleasant stay. After reviewing the hotel reviews, there have been several negative ones (many positive too). We look forward to writing a review once our stay is complete.3.5* Offer price: $68Number rooms: 1Number Nights: 3Subtotal: $204.00Tax & Service: $37.96Total charge: $241.95Hopefully we bid properly through the betterbidding website since this is such a great tool! It was recommended to us by a friend and we have already recommended it to others!
