Hotwire Hotel: Hotel Central Park Area

I need help finding a hotel near this address: 5 East 98th Street, NY, NYC 10029 I think this is the Central Park Area. I need it to be at least a 3.5. Dates of stay are 3/11-3/12

A friend needs to have a medical procedure done at the hospital and needs to do a prep for it so he needs to be as close to the hospital as possible. i.e. he needs to travel as little as possible to get to the hospital. Which would be the best, priceline or hotwire or Orbitz.

There are no hotels (that i know of) within walking distance, and while i hear the need to be close to the hospital, it's going to be a cab ride regardless of where they are. If booking direct the closest 'name brand' hotel to this address is this Courtyard by Marriott which is selling for $189/nite for these dates (and not 3.5* or above rated).

On the other hand if they go thru HOTWIRE what appears to be the 4* Inter-Continetnal Barclay is available for $135/nite and once i a cab would be a very easy and straight ride up Madison Ave.
