jetcap
Will probably be booking Candlewood which is very close to Hartford Airport. I know they have park and fly packages for their guests that include shuttle to the airport. Has anybody stayed their with a Hotwire and do they charge you extra for parking for this option. I'll arrive on a Wednesday night and return on a Sunday. Link to comment
thereuare
If the hotel offers a Park N Fly rate (which is higher than their starndard rate) then parking is usually in addition to your room rate, which would mean that it is not included with your PRICELINE or HOTWIRE purchase. You could call the hotel to see if you able to leave your car and pay for parking while away if booked at a standard (non-Park N Fly) rate. Also, it's not clear if you need this particular property, but you coudl find out your best deal for parking during the length of your stay, then deduct that from the Candelwood's Park n Fly rate, which would tell you how much you're able to bid for a hotel 'ala carte' and still come out ahead of the Park n Fly offer. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. If you do end up booking direct, please use this Candlewood Suites link or the one in our support page to make your reservation.Let us know what you decide and how it goes or if we can be of further help. jetcap
Ended using PRICELINE and paying $38 (+ $12 for taxes) for La Quinta Inn ( 64 Ella Grasso Turnpike Windsor Locks, Connecticut 06096) five minutes from the airport that was listed as 2-1/2 stars. Parking lot with shuttle was right next door so I went there, although it was more than the signs outside would have you believe...I imagine the one across the street would be slightly cheaper.Business services, tv w/ remote, alarm, hairdryer, iron, telephone and 24 hr front desk are ameneties listed.
