Hello!

I am looking to bid on a 3* or better property in San Diego 5/23 through 5/26. My question is, am I better off waiting until April or May before I start my bidding, or in your experience, does that matter? In other words, do you think I can get a better deal by bidding now or by bidding later, and if bidding later is the answer, how much later would you recommend? Also, would your response be any different if I bid on exclusively 4* or better properties as opposed to 3* or better?

Of course I will be using the PRICELINE link when I do my actual bidding and will return to this post to share my results.

Thanks,

Welcome to BetterBidding!

Assuming your plans are firm, my advice is always to do a little research on the board to learn the low end of the range of accepted bids, know what a 'good deal' is, and begin early trying to probe the low end of the range... making "lowball" offers while making sure you don't overbid.

For additional thoughts see the related link i our PRICELINE FAQ.

Once you decide you're ready to start trying let us know your maximum bid and we'll suggest a strategy for you to follow.
