Hi I was trying to get the Venetian for the infamous $99 that I have seen you talk about. I keep getting regected I have bid as high as $110. What are my chances of getting a 4* on the strip and what would be a good average bid?

Welcome to BetterBidding!

Are you sure you want to bid for a 4* on Priceline? You'll subject yourself to the Westin which isn't directly on the strip. These REVIEWS are somewhat favorable but others have had OTHER THOUGHTS.

I have also often said that when not going for the Venetian, Las Vegas is one area where i typically WON'T USE PRICELINE as there are usually other deals to be had.

The Flamingo isn't a 4* property (it's a 3*) but at $75/nite it represents a good value and has a fantastic location on the strip. If you want a 4* i see Expedia is offering a standard room at NYNY for $114/nite which is a good price relative to other rates i see for your dates.

Let us know what you think of any of the above or if you have any questions. If you decide you want to go with Priceline anyway let us know and we'll suggest a strategy.

Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases

Thanks for the information. Since this is a special occasion (my husband's birthday) I do not want to risk being off the strip. I appriciate the extra information on other hotels. If you come across anything that would be helpful I'd love the additional information. Thanks again.
