TravlinDelia1979 Posted February 27, 2009 Report Posted February 27, 2009 I recently got the Squaw Peak after a month of trying for $55 per night 3/27-3/30. That was before I learned of this site. I noticed today that they have lowered the price on the Hilton website to $127. I started bidding at $40 and worked up to $55 in $5 increments adding different areas without resorts (check out the list on this site but they recommend checking the priceline site for accuracy before you bid). I was shocked when I finally got the place I really wanted. I started out with North Phoenix, then added Metrocenter, the added Phoenix Airport, then added Chandler area. Only North Phoenix has resort properties so there was no way I was getting anything except North Phoenix. I know the Dodgers had a block of rooms reserved here for their packages. I think maybe they and some other teams may have released some rooms. Now, however it is showing the Tapatio as booked on the Hilton site for my dates and it was available earlier.Anyway, I was glad to get the Squaw Peak because this is the one I wanted.
