stravis22 Posted February 27, 2009 Report Posted February 27, 2009 Hi, i'm new to this board and am looking for a resort for the dates listed above. I'm looking to pay under $100 per night. I see the recent wins for around $55-$70, but i need help with bidding strategy. Any advice?Thank you!
thereuare Posted February 28, 2009 Report Posted February 28, 2009 Welcome to BetterBidding! At the Resort level you have 8 re-bid zones. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding.(NOTE: 're-bid zone1' is not the same as priceline's Zone1, 're-bid zone2' is not the same as priceline's Zone2, etc, etc)Select Resort North Scottsdale...Bid $55, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $60, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $65, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $70, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $75, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $80, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $85, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $90, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $95Any questions feel free to ask. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.Good luck and let us know how it goes. stravis22 Posted March 1, 2009 Author Report Posted March 1, 2009 Thanks for the help...will let you know how it goes. Tried tonight without any luck. One question: i was looking at the hilton website (they have two of the three hotels that betterbidding lists as previous wins) and they have no rooms available. Do i still have a chance at one of these even though their website shows them as sold out?I don't have a preference between the three, but i am assuming i will be able to get a better rate if i more hotels to pick from. Thanks!
thereuare Posted March 1, 2009 Report Posted March 1, 2009 We have seen wins at hotels that are otherwise showing sold-out on the company website, but this is much more the exception than the rule. However, all you need is one hotel to have a price point low enough to accept your bid, so start with the above and we'll take it from there. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.Good luck.
