vitasoy1437 Posted February 26, 2009 Report Posted February 26, 2009 Hello,I would like to bid on a 5* hotel room in Strip North from 04/10 to 04/12. I checked the rates, and its basically $207 for Venetian / Palazzo. I see that someone successfully got Venetian for $80 in March. My friend told me that there's a "deal" for standard Venetian Luxury Suite, in which you pay additional $50 to the $200.00 to upgrade to the Venetian Rialto. I haven't used priceline too much. The number of beds is based on availability on the day we check in, is that correct? Please advise on how to bid. My max is $140.00. Thanks a lot.
thereuare Posted February 26, 2009 Report Posted February 26, 2009 For starters, the Trump is in the Strip zone but is slightly off the strip and doesn't have a casino... would this be an acceptable outcome for you?On a side note, the Veneitan 'standard' room only has one bed (although it typically has a pullout sofabed too)... rooms wtih two queens are considered upgrades and the Venetian usually charges more for these rooms, which if available, you would pay the difference at check-in ($15-$30, iirc)Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. vitasoy1437 Posted February 26, 2009 Author Report Posted February 26, 2009 Hello,Thanks for replying. I would prefer the Venetian. However, if Venetian is unavailable and Trump is the only one, I can try it (after reading reviews seem ok, since I can go to other casinos, that's not too much of a problem).I might try the upgrade trick for the Rialto. Thanks for the note.
thereuare Posted February 27, 2009 Report Posted February 27, 2009 If you bid on PRICELINE i think the odds favor you landing the Trump, but the price will likely be low... somewhere in the $75 area. If you'd rather spend more for a 5* on the strip and with a casino, you an go with HOTWIRE where i think you can get the Wynn for ~$120/nite.Let us know which you'd prefer and we'll advise accordingly. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. vitasoy1437 Posted February 27, 2009 Author Report Posted February 27, 2009 is there any way to bid w/ chances for Venetian? Please advise direction for Wynn. Thanks.
thereuare Posted February 28, 2009 Report Posted February 28, 2009 With PRICELINE there is no way to target a specific property... you need to be able to accept any hotel at the minimum star level you choose in the zone you select. On HOTWIRE there is a 5* hotel for $120/nite (your price may differ slightly) with the following amenities:Casino, Restaurant, Pool, Fitness, Business, Golf, Tennis, SpaThis is a match for the Wynn so that would be our best guess. So you need to decide if you want what is believed to be the Wynn for the HOTWIRE price or if you want to try bidding for a lower price via PRICELINE... but a 'decent chance' you'll get the Trump. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.Let us know how you'd like to proceed and/or how it goes and we'll advise accordingly. vitasoy1437 Posted March 5, 2009 Author Report Posted March 5, 2009 Hello, It ends up I do not get to do the arrangements, as my friends do not want to "risk" getting a hotel they do not want. Thank you, and I will come again next I travel to LV. Thanks....
