Priceline Hotel: Price Bid For Hyatt Hacienda Del Mar Dorado PR

I was wondering if anyone has ever won the resort Hyatt Hacienda Del Mar Dorado PR by bidding on priceline. If I was to place bid for a resort, is it possible that they could give me a 3 star resort such as embassy suites or golden sands villas?

You can see all PRICELINE hotels previously reported to the board in the Priceline Hotel List. We don't see too many users looking to stay in this area so, as per the comments at the top of the hotel list (read them), there could be others which don't yet appear on the list.

PRICELINE uses the "Resort" as a quality category itself (think of it as a 4.5* hotel rating), so if you bid the Resort star level, you don't receive a 3* property... however, the issue is that the star ratings are determined by PRICELINE, so you have to hope that you're view of a 'Resort' is the same as theirs (and what you think of as a 3* is not a Resort in their eyes)

Lastly, if there is a particular property you're trying to target, or avoid, HOTWIRE may be a better option as you can often take an educated guess as to the property you will receive based upon the amenities shown beforehand.
