I'm guessing then that this is the same hotel I'm getting a $139 rate for, for the dates 3/20 - 3/23 (I know that Sunday night is cheaper so it would bring it down). Same amenities. Is there a chance it could be anything else?

Another friend of mine also booked a 5* on Hotwire, same weekend, for the dates 3/19-3/23. I tried to get him to post his results, but good luck with this guy. This also turned out to be the Wynn, and his nightly rate was $129. So, Val8, I think you're right that the non-weekend nights brought the rate down. My guess is you would get the Wynn as well- but as has been pointed out there are other hotels (i.e. Venetian) that match the amenities exactly.

By the way the rates posted for this particular weekend are higher than other spring rates posted on this forum, and I believe that's due to the NCAA March Madness opening weekend.
