Phil McCrack Posted February 19, 2009 Report Posted February 19, 2009 Hello again!I started this excursion trying to get a 4 star hotel in Buckhead. Got all the way up to $90 with no bites. So I shifted to my standby - bidding on 2.5 stars.Bid 1: 2.5 stars, Buckhead, $35 - rejected.Bid 2: Added Jonesboro, $40 - rejected.Bid 3: Added Smyrna, $45 - accepted.Priceline upgraded me to a 3* hotel (again!) - this time it was the Doubletree Hotel Atlanta/Buckhead.Hotel information below.--------Doubletree Hotel Atlanta/Buckhead3340 Peachtree RoadAtlanta, GA 30326404-231-1234 Room Cost (avg. per room, per night): $45.00 (USD)Number of Rooms: 1Number of Nights: 1Room Subtotal: $45.00 (USD)Taxes and Fees: $13.80 (USD)Total Room Cost: $58.80 (USD)--------This hotel is right in the middle of Buckhead. It has good reviews. The cheapest room on their web site was $114 per night, so I'm happy with this win.I used the Better Bidding PRICELINE link, and so should you. Thanks again!Phil
