Jrobert888 Posted February 18, 2009 Report Posted February 18, 2009 I placed a winning bid for the Trump for 90 bucks per night (hotwire is currently $109) so it basically just offsets the stupid resort fee.I started at 55 and went up to 85 in 5 dollar increments, then a 90 dollar winning bid was accepted at the Trump for the two nights. FYI my bid of $89 was rejected 72 hours ago, so either they lowered the price in the last 72 hours or, (more likely) $90 may be the lowest rate for these nights. This was not my first choice but I knew the risks and for 90 bucks a night I am not going to complain, I know the drawbacks of the hotel but my backup was more money for a non AAA rated hotel. I am going to try the $20 dollar trick and see if I can get upgraded to a strip view (and away from the noisy train) and hopefully a larger room.I did use the PRICELINE link from this site, thanks for the awesome service provided in these forums, there is an amazing wealth of info here!A couple of questions about my tripFirst off, I am going to be driving here and know that they do not have self parking available... Does anyone have any tips/experience for parking your own car(for free) nearby to the Trump so that I can avoid the valet parking charges?Second, what is the size of the bathtub in the standard guest room (no upgrades) can it comfortably fit two? Thanks in advance for all your help!
thereuare Posted February 18, 2009 Report Posted February 18, 2009 Welcome to BetterBidding!Congratulations on your win and thank you for sharing your results with the board. As far as parking i would find a self-park lot at one of the nearby casinos OR just valet it at another property (but confirm with the valet that there won't be any problem leaving the car with him for a couple of days)... i don't think there is a time limit on a casino's valet or self-park, but i'm not certain, so make sure to doublecheck to insure you don't get towed :)I'm not sure about the tubs at the Trump.Thank you for sharing your win with the board and using our PRICLINE link to begin your bidding.Enjoy your stay.
