blowstar Posted February 18, 2009 Report Posted February 18, 2009 Hi, I'm looking for a super experience in a really good hotel in downtown/theater/central park area of New York for 3 nights arriving 5 March.I have refunable reservation at a really top designer hotel for a suite at $1200 for the three nights which I think is the best I can get by negotiation, but can you suggest a strategy to garner a better deal in another genuinely 5* hotel using HOTWIRE. I'm a bit scared of Priceline, LOL.
thereuare Posted February 18, 2009 Report Posted February 18, 2009 but can you suggest a strategy to garner a better deal in another genuinely 5* hotel using HOTWIRE.I don't think HOTWIRE currently deals with any 5* hotels in NYC.You know your needs better than me, but my advice would be to save the hotel money (something like the Omni Berkshire appears to be available for ~$110/nite) and spend the money saved on something amazing in NYC which would likely be more memorable then the hotel room you had... something like this NYC Helicopter Ride (they have less expensive ones too) or something similar which you think would make the trip more memorable.
