Hi,

My parents are visting New York from Ireland in May so I was asked to get the hotel room.

First tried through the usual process of rebidding to get a four star hotel. Went as high as $140 but had no luck (just an FYI I didn't look in the financial district area as I wanted to keep them in the Central Park/Time Square/Midtown area). I then opened a new page and tried bidding for a 3 and a half star at $115 in CPS, Empire, MTE, MTW and Times Square. No luck, so I added my free bid area of Chelsea and increased to $120. This was successful, and I got the Dream Hotel.

Looks a very nice hotel, and an excellent location. Total cost for five nights was $719.

I of course used your PRICELINE link to go to Priceline.

Thanks again for all the work you do on these boards.

I find it a very valuable research tool when using Priceline.

Congratulations on your (their?) success!

Rooms here are reported to be notoriously small, but other than that, they get good reviews. The hotel has an excellent location with easy access to 4 different subway lines so it should make it very convenient for them to get around the city.

Thank you for sharing your win with the board and using our PRICLINE link to begin your bidding.

Hope your parents are pleased with the results and have a great stay in the city.
