LAgirl13 Posted February 14, 2009 Report Posted February 14, 2009 Got the Hotel Roosevelt using HOTWIRE link for 2/14/09 - 2/16/09 for $109 per night. I'm happy considering it's the day off! Thanks!Oh, and I also did some free-trial membership w/Great Fun! afterwards and their promotion was to offer 50% back of your recent hotwire purchase, up to $50. So for two nights my total was $250, including taxes. So looks like I really only paid $200, assuming I actually get back that $50 and it's not a gimmick!
thereuare Posted February 14, 2009 Report Posted February 14, 2009 Congratulations on your success!Thank you for sharing your results with the board. Can you please add the amenities shown before your purchase to this thread... you can still view these by going to HOTWIRE and clicking the MY ACCOUNT link near the top right of their home page.Be careful with the subscription offers presented after your purchase, you're now automatically signed up for a recurring montly fee until you cancel, which can often be a pain to do, as well, some people forget to cancel (since i think you need to do so after you get your rebate check, and don't notice the recurring charge until months later.Thank you for sharing your results with the board and using our HOTWIRE link to begin your purchase.Enjoy your stay. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
LAgirl13 Posted February 14, 2009 Author Report Posted February 14, 2009 The Amenities listed for the Roosevelt were: Fitness Center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business Center, High-speed Internet AccessI will definitely be canceling the special offers before I'm charged the monthly fee. I made myself a reminder so I don't forget. Hopefully I will have the Rebate of $50 by then!! Otherwise it's just a big pain for nothing.
LAgirl13 Posted February 19, 2010 Author Report Posted February 19, 2010 Just wanted to update. I did get the $50 rebate AND I canceled before I was charged. So it worked out really well!! :)
AaronJB Posted February 19, 2010 Report Posted February 19, 2010 Glad to hear the offer worked well and you were able to cancel.
