davematson Posted February 14, 2009 Report Posted February 14, 2009 When I search for 1 room, I see a listing for my search as Casino, Restaurant, Pool, Fitness Center, Business Center, Golf, Spa for $109.According to most reports, this is the TI, which is where I want to stay. However, I need 2 rooms. If I switch the search to 2 rooms, I get a different 4* CentralCasino, Restaurant, Pool, Fitness, Hi-Speed Internet, Business, Spa for $129, which is probably Planet Hollywood. It has been doing this for a week, and in that time the apparent TI rate has gone up from 99 to 109.Any tips on trying to get 2 room at the TI?thx much!
thereuare Posted February 15, 2009 Report Posted February 15, 2009 Welcome to BetterBidding! It would be a risk to purchase one room and then hope that the Treasure Island appears for the second purchase. However, hotel direct rates at the Treasure Island are not that much higher for these dates. You could purchase this on HOTWIRE, and assuming you get the Treasure Island, see if it appears on a subsequent search. If so you can proceed with the purchase of the second room... if not you can book directly at the Treasure Island website (please use this previousl link) for $149/nite... essentially getting all rooms for ~$129/nite. You could then continue to monitor HOTWIRE to see if the TI re-appears, and if so, book it and cancel your hotel direct reservation. Slight risk involved in the above, but it's an option would would save you about $75 total on all 4 rooms, if that's worth it to you. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. (and/or our Treasure Island link if you go that route)Let us know what you decide and how it goes or if we can be of further help. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
