batgirl00! Posted February 12, 2009 Report Posted February 12, 2009 Booked Jan 21st Original Bid of $90 / night for 2 nights >>> rejectedThis is my first time and this sight and I was reading about being "walked" does anyone have any tips that might lower my chances of being walked from the Wynn.I am planning a bachelorette party and really don't want to have to hastle my group. I was thinking about calling the Wynn to confirm my reservation with them and then also trying to make reservations at the spa because that is what the girls and I want to do. Does anyone think making spa reservations would make a difference about being walked? Also I am ending up with one more girl than was anticipated and will need the rooms to have two beds in them. Can I call the Wynn and have them honor my request even though I purchased through PRICELINE? I am willing to pay extra for the additional girl(s) if it comes to that, but I don't know what kind of fees / experience I am in for. Any advice / tips would be greatly appreciated!BTW, awesome site, I will def use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links when booking my next trip because I support what you're doing here.
thereuare Posted February 12, 2009 Report Posted February 12, 2009 Welcome to BetterBidding! The "Wynn Walking" issues were a one time event which ended up being a headache for everyone involved... the Wynn, PRICELINE, HOTWIRE, and their guests. I don't see any concern regarding getting walked at this property, at least no more so than any other hotel across the country, or perhaps even less as the Wynn did receive some negative press and would be looking to minimize any chances of repeating their previous blunder. You can call the hotel and put in your room type requests (which will also confirm your reservation) but note that the Wynn has a fairly hefty fee for additional occupancy over two, so i would probably just request 2 beds because your traveling with a friend whom you'd prefer to not share a bed with, rather than let them know about the additional guest in the room. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
