BEAV Posted August 16, 2004 Report Share Posted August 16, 2004 A friend of mine called to tell me he was awarded the Marriott for $120 per night for three nights, Oct 6, 7 and 8, 2004. Last week he had bid unsuccessfully up to $80. This time he used the bidding strategy suggested by thesilb in this post. He started at $80, working his way up until success at $120. This is obviously a busy week in SF. Perhaps conventions, sporting events, who knows what!Although certainly not the best Priceline deal, he was still happy as conventional rates at Priceline hotels are running $200-300 per night for these dates.
