I got him a better deal (or at least a better rate) than I got for myself (as you can see from my earlier post). I paid the price this time for bidding too early, but I didn't foresee that the Crowne Plaza's rates would drop this low (or that it would be upgraded to 3.5*). I started at $30 (with a counteroffer of +$8) and increased by bid in $1 increments; the total came to $128.75 for the three nights. Link to comment
