Hotwire Hotel: 4* San Antonio (Riverwalk-Alamo) Crowne Plaza

4* hotel was offered in San Antonio Riverwalk Alamo North for $105. Amenities were Business, Internet, Restaurant, Fitness. I assumed this was Valencia, and was happy with that. But it was the Crowne Plaza. I do feel misled by Hotwire, b/c this hotel is rated *** by TripAdvisor (with some awful reviews), *** by AOL travel, and Citysearch also has awful reviews. It is pretty clearly not a 4* property. Plus there is no way to know it is Crowne Plaza, b/c CP has a pool, but that isn't listed as an amenity.

The SA hotel list should change reflecting this, they have CP listed as a 3.5* with a pool as an amenity.

Very disappointed, though this is a great site, and has helped me in the past.

Sorry to hear you didn't receive the hotel you were hoping for.

The hotel list is, and always will be, a work in progress, as amenities and star rating are constantly changing. HOTWIRE has been even more active than usual lately in changing hotel rating and mixing up the amenity combinations... this is why it's important to share your wins with the board, even if the property has already been reported, since it let's another user know just how recently the property has been won at the current star level and amenity combination, as well as how frequently the hotel is offered/received.

honestly it's probably karma, i have had some wins (using your links at least!) in the past but didn't post. don't know that i'll use HOTWIRE again, but certainly if i win with PRICELINE, def will post.
