Rohit Posted February 9, 2009 Report Posted February 9, 2009 Hi,I am new to Priceline bidding and was looking for some help on acquiring a 4* hotel in midtown east / west or times square area for 1 night (Feb. 20th).The room is for 1 adult. I was wondering what should my bidding strategy be seeing that it is in 2 weeks and what initial bids I should place. Ideally I would like to get something like the W Hotel for $120.Cheers,Rohit

The only reason I selected those regions is because of the past hotels that have been there. I have lived in Manhattan before so I know you can get anywhere pretty easily on the island.I am just looking for a really classy or chic hotel for the night, hence aiming for 4*. As noted, my budget is $120 but ideally I would like to sit around $100.Thanks.Rohit

If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding.Select 4* MTE and MTW and Times Square...Bid $90, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $95, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $100, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $105, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $110, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $115.If the abve is rejected go to HOTWIRE and purchase the $119/nite 4* MTE hotel.Any questions feel free to ask.Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.Good luck and let us know how it goes.
