EmMeVa Posted February 8, 2009 Report Posted February 8, 2009 Well, after months of scouring this forum I final worked up the nerve to submit a bid to priceline for our upcoming weekend getaway.First, I accessed PRICELINE through the betterbidding link (of course!). My first bid was for a 4* convention center/capital hill zone for $75. This bid was not accepted. (Incidentally, at this point I was told my bid would be accepted if I added $22 to it. From reading other posts and advise I knew that I could rebid in lower increments and did not necessarily have to increase by $22, as priceline would want me to believe.)Because both the convention center and the white house zones looked convenient to the attractions we are interested in seeing I then added the white house/downtown zone, kept the 4*, and raised the bid to $80. Outcome....Renaissance Washington DC, 2/13-2/15, $80 per night. Thanks betterbidding!!!
