wannagoaway
Hi. I am fairly new to Priceline. I understand I am only bidding for two people, however, I have an 8 and 9 year old and we would like to go to Boston (smallish rooms). If I bid on a room, is it likely the hotel can add cots or I can bring sleeping bags for the kids? I'm totally unsure of what to do. I know the hotel has the option of giving two full size beds at their discretion or saying no way. I was wondering if anyone else has had a positive or negative experience with this. Or, maybe we would be better off staying a little outside of the city? I'd appreciate any help! Diane Link to comment
headtrip
Having just finished a trip to San Francisco with my 8 and 10 yo, I can offer this observation to staying there and the hotels response when requesting 2 beds at check-in. When I had a one night stay only, the hotels would only offer king beds, which were big enough for the 3 of us, but just barely. I also inquired about an additional bed, but in both cases I was told it would be $30 extra per night (I assume it would be a twin fold up, which I know isn't too comfortable). For the boutique hotel which I bid a multiple night stay, they saw that I had kids and did assign me two doubles which was fine. It's too bad priceline doesn't give an option for 2 beds instead of one, and the hotels could just take this into account when accepting bids.~Stephen~ Link to comment
wannagoaway
Thank you. I'm playing it safe and just booking a room that I know will fit four people. I'd love to try Priceline but if I have to pay $20 or $30 twice, then I'm going to be stuck. Thanks so much, Diane Link to comment
