thd13 Posted February 7, 2009 Report Posted February 7, 2009 There are 4 of us going to Vegas between 2/19/09 - 2/23/09. My friend booked us at the MGM Grand with one of their promotions, which brings our room total to approximately $300 after taxes. Granted, there are four of us, and the number of beds are not guaranteed, but it was pretty cheap and looks decent. But being the bargain hunter/ luxury addict that I am, I would like to stay in a 5* hotel in Central strip. I don't think I want to do PL because I am trying to avoid the Trump like the plague. Also, I don't know the chances of getting either the Wynn or Venetian (which is where I really want to stay).I checked HotWire for those dates and got a hotel for $139/night with the following amenities: Casino Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center Spa Services I can't tell which hotel it is, and the TripAdvisor rating number is not available.Help! Thanks in advance!
thereuare Posted February 8, 2009 Report Posted February 8, 2009 Welcome to BetterBidding!Does HOTWIRE also show a Hi-Speed Internet icon in addition to the amenities you've listed above? How many guests are you including in your search above to have this hotel appear? If this is one of your prefered hotels would you change your reservation from the MGM Grand? Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. thd13 Posted February 10, 2009 Author Report Posted February 10, 2009 I just checked HOTWIRE again, and the same search that I did above yields the same results as I posted above. There is no high-speed internet connection icon. I am including 2 people in my search. And yes, I would definitely change my reservation from the MGM Grand. However, the same dates with 3 people gives me the Venetian.
thereuare Posted February 10, 2009 Report Posted February 10, 2009 A property with these amenities has not yet been reported to the board, but if i were to take a guess, i think the Palazzo (with a few 'missing' icons) or the Encore win of the Wynn would be likely candidates. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help. thd13 Posted April 22, 2009 Author Report Posted April 22, 2009 We ended up staying at the MGM Grand at $59 a night and went directly through the hotel. Thanks for your help!
