Was bidding for my Dad as he's driving from New Jersey to Orlando and needed an overnight stay half way through his trip.

Started low and increased by $2 increments. Last failed bid was $44.

$46 was accepted at the Holiday Inn Bordeaux - total with taxes/fees = $59. Best rate on Holiday Inn web site is $102 + t/f = $115 so a savings of $56.

TripAdvisor reviews are bad but it's one night so hopefully it'll be fine. This is also a new hotel for your list.

Sorry to hear the reivews aren't favorable, but as you point out, it's just one nite, and probably better (and cheaper) than a random hotel he would wonder into as he was driving by.
