olafurson Posted February 7, 2009 Report Posted February 7, 2009 Hi there! Newbie here.My wife and I are going on our first trip to Vegas next week, for a conference being held in the Mandalay Bay.Obviously, staying IN the Mandalay Bay would be ideal, but if this isn't an option, "something nice" ON THE STRIP (per DW) would be great.Advice? I'm seeing $80 winning 4*/5* bids on your board this month...Specifics about the whole zone change thing would be ideal.Wow, really appreciate this resource. Thank you!!-olafurson
mtsublueraider Posted February 7, 2009 Report Posted February 7, 2009 If you don't mind staying in a hotel without a casino and don't mind a "resort fee" I have seen plenty of bids on the Trump Hotel on hotwire and priceline for around $80.
olafurson Posted February 7, 2009 Author Report Posted February 7, 2009 OK, let me rephrase the question:If I ask Priceline for a 5* hotel in the south strip, is it likely that I'll get Mandalay Bay?What price should I bid?Thanks!-greg
olafurson Posted February 7, 2009 Author Report Posted February 7, 2009 5* Las Vegas Center Strip 2/13-2/19This hotel features the following amenities:CasinoFitness CenterPool(s)Restaurant(s)Business CenterHigh-speed Internet AccessSpa Services$119/nightThanks!!!-greg
thereuare Posted February 9, 2009 Report Posted February 9, 2009 If you were successful for a 5* in the South Strip zone i would think it likely that you'd receive THEhotel, but of course, no guarantees. Are you still seeing the Center Strip hotel above on HOTWIRE... the 5* i'm seeing for your dates is priced higher and has more amenities than you've listed above. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.
