Priceline Hotel: 5* London (Mayfair-Soho)

Hi,

I'm trying to get the Grosvensor House and I thought I'd post my history incase someone else is interested in the same dates.

Better Bidding history - $113 for Feb, $160 in March.

My Strategy...

Bid $100 for Mayfair-Soho, rejected, but offered to book now for $161. I declined.

Bid $103 adding Bloomsbury (no 5* hotels), rejected

Bid $106 adding Finsburg (no 5* hotels), rejected

Bid $109 adding Hammersmith (no 5* hotels), rejected

Bid $112 adding Notting Hill (no 5* hotels), rejected

Bid $115 adding The City (no 5* hotels), rejected

My wife repeated this starting at $118 in her Priceline account and was rejected. Looks like it will be closer to the $160. We'll get 12 bids every 24 hours.

I'll update when if I'm successful.

Well, of course I've known that other 5* hotels were a possibibility, but now that people are actually getting them I think I'm going to stop bidding for awhile. I'm not thrilled with the other 5* hotels that people are winning. Hopefully this at least helps those of you with your bidding strategy.
