kdozers Posted February 4, 2009 Report Posted February 4, 2009 This was only my second attempt at using Priceline & the strategies I've learned from this board. I'm helping my niece find a reasonable hotel price for Boston...First an appology... I didn't use the board link this time as I had a $30 credit off from Priceline with a direct link. It seemed to be the only way to use that credit. That being said, here are my results...I first tried on 1/30 for a ridiculously low $45. No takers. Not brave enough to add another zone.1/31- $55- No takers; 2/2-$60.2/3-Started with Quincy Mkt @ $62, added Medford- $65, added Brighton- $69.2/4- Quincy Mkt @ $70, Medford @$73, finally accepted $76, plus the additional $10 on top of my offer. Making the actual offer $86.I've confirmed with the hotel and she has a King Deluxe.I'm not sure if using the credit helped or hurt? But I was starting to feel pretty inept seeing others getting rooms for between $60-$70. :) Anyway, it's done and I think she'll be happy!
