Oh my gosh...I've literally been trying for weeks to get a 4-star in the Triangle area for Valentine's Day to surprise my husband. However, being me, I wanted it to be a really really good deal. I've gone up much higher than this, and priceline has laughed at me. So I was SHOCKED when my $60 bid was accepted. Previous bid was for $55 in Raleigh. Added Chapel Hill and upped it to $60. This hotel is known for being more in the $200 price line, and recently I believe, someone got it for $105, which is really good also.

January 29th I bid up to $70 and didn't get anything for a 4-star. January 25th I bid up to $80 and didn't get anything.

For anyone that might try for this, keep in mind that you might be able to get it below the $60 I got it for, since I didn't use the same kind of strategic bidding I had been doing, based on those other failed days. Even though I'm thrilled with the $60 rate, thanks to my own stupidity, I now have to wonder if I could've gotten it for even less.
