downey Posted February 2, 2009 Report Posted February 2, 2009 I just read the following and I'm interested in the same thing. I have just reported 3 wins in the last week and would like any input on calling the hotels for my preferences. I did try to email one of the hotels but it bounced. Thanks :) After a successful Priceline hotel bid, for a 2-night non-resort stay made two months in advance, we wonder about timing for pitching a couple of special requests. Is it more advantageous to call the property immediately for king, non-smoking, etc., or wait until much closer to the actual arrival date? Our last (in fact, only other) Priceline experience involved a 3-week advance booking and a successful request call made just after the bid acceptance. Any rule of thumb advice? Thanks,
thereuare Posted February 3, 2009 Report Posted February 3, 2009 There is no "magic" time, but i would call immediately following my win... then again 48 hours before arrival to confirm the reservation and re-iterate any special requests. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
