Should I contact the Wynn to 'CONFIRM', or would that be not wise (it might alert them that I got a room for $90 USD!!)Thanks
thereuare Posted February 2, 2009 Report Posted February 2, 2009 Welcome to BetterBidding!Congratulations on your success. I wouldn't worry too much about the posibility of getting walked... this can happen at any hotel, and i don't think the chances of it happening at the Wynn are more/less than the chances of it happening anyplace else.I believe the previous "issue" was an honest mistake and the hotel didn't intentionally (nor will they) fill rooms at discounted rates only to 'walk' these guests if they're able to fill the rooms at higher price later on. The situation was handled poorly with each company involved blaming the other, but hopefully they've gotten to the core of why this occurred and there won't be a trend of this happening (here or anywhere else)However, with the above noted, it is always a good idea to give the hotel a call just to make sure they have your reservation as it's always easier to handle things at home with a telephone and computer vs. when you've just arrived at the hotel with luggage in hand. I usually call and ask for for my bedding preferenced (King, Non-Smoking, etc) or ask to check on my reservation and then ask some other question regarding the hotel (what are the hours of the pool, is there a charge for the fitness center, etc)Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.Enjoy your stay.
