Pasadena John Posted February 1, 2009 Report Posted February 1, 2009 First time PRICELINE user. Here's my bid history for a hotel in the Downtown Long Beach Area. My goal was the 4* Renaissance. Note that the target dates happen to be the weekend of Valentines Day. As a backup I made a cancellable reservation with Renaissance at a federal government rate of $128 a night. They had a government-rate room available on the 14th but not on the 15th. I was going to have to gamble that a government rate room would become available before my arrival.
