NoGvmnt Posted January 28, 2009 Report Posted January 28, 2009 Hi everyone, ultimately, what I am looking to do is book the Hyatt Place in Fort Lauderdale for pre and post cruise stays on March 19th and March 30th (yes, I am aware that I will have to bid each date separately). I know that when bidding through PRICELINE you can't pick your hotel but I see that some people have been successful with this property in my price range which is a maximum of $100.00/night including all taxes and fees.So what I need is instruction on what bidding procedure I should take in order for the best possible chance of success. And if my chances of success through HOTWIRE would be better please let me know. And I WILL use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links provided on this website. Thanks, Jim
thereuare Posted January 29, 2009 Report Posted January 29, 2009 Welcome to BetterBidding! Please only post for one stay per thread... we'll use this thread for your pre-cruise stay of 3/19, feel free start a NEW TOPIC for your post cruise stay.PRICELINE usually provides the lowest price (when bid correctly), but there is no way to target a specific property. HOTWIRE usually costs a little more, but you can often target, or avoid, a particular property by taking an educated guess as to the poroperty being offered based upon the star rating, amenities, and any additional clues that HOTWIRE may provide. To begin, there are few Hyatt Place properties in the Ft Lauderdale area, are you refering to the Hyatt Place Airport North at 1851 SE 10th Avenue? Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases

thereuare Posted January 29, 2009 Report Posted January 29, 2009 So given this information that at the current time you won't be able to target this property, are you willing to bid on PRICELINE and accept any hotel in the zone at the minimum star level that you select OR are would you prefer to book a 'known' hotel thru conventional means? Was there something in particular regarding the Hyatt Place that you were looking for from this stay?Let us know how you'd like to proceed and we'll advise accordingly.
