:) After researching this site, I first bid $35 for 3 1/2 star DT Milwaukee hotel. the fees were 12.18 for a total of 47.18. Rejected & did not get the offer to counter immediately.

So, from what I learned here, I added Milwaukee North to my search criteria, bid $36 & got it Hyatt Regency.

This was the hotel I wanted because we are going to the Milw Bucks' game that night & didn't want to be far from there. I understand the parking is little pricey but no big deal because we needed to park for the game anyway. As far as the construction, for this price I can live with it. The fees for my $36 winning bid were 12.34 for a total of $48.34. From what I research on HOTWIRE (from this website link, BTW), I believe I found the Hyatt Regency for $59 + fees for a total of $73.32. The features were Fitness Center, Restaurant, Business Center, High-Speed Internet Access.

My winning PL bid also came via the PRICELINE link from this site. Thanks!

Be sure to ask for a renovated room upon check in. Parking for the Bucks game last weekend, when we were there, was $15 and self parking for 24 hours for hotel guests in the same garage was $20 with in-and-out privileges. If you do leave the garage, BE SURE to let them know you will be returning. We did not get a receipt until we asked for one, and I would imagine we would've encountered problems if we hadn't done so.

Enjoy!

Well....I just got back from my stay in Milwaukee. The Hyatt was great! I checked in at 3pm & there wasn't any wait. The gal at the front desk pulled up my reservation from my ID. As she was looking, I asked if I could get a room with two beds. She said "of course." She then gave me two free 'drink" tickets for the 2nd floor bar & restaurant. The tickets stated that due to the construction, this was their way of saying sorry. I then asked if I could get a room that had already been renovated & she said, "that is what I have you set up with!" She then mentioned that the construction only took place between 8am - 6pm. I heard a little noise this morning as I was watching some TV....but it was nothing to worry about. :) :) She never mentioned Priceline & was nothing but professional. She left her ext # on my key envelope & said I should call if I needed anything else. We rec'd a free newspaper in the morning.....it was all very very good!
